These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rate Watch website (the "Site"), operated by Rate Watch, based in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What Rate Watch is

Rate Watch is an informational tool that collects and displays publicly available hotel rate data over time, so you can see how a hotel's price has moved across different booking windows. We are not a travel agency, booking platform, or party to any reservation you make. We don't process payments, issue confirmations, or take responsibility for your stay.

2. No guarantee of price accuracy

Prices shown on the Site are collected periodically from third-party providers and are provided for informational and historical comparison purposes only. Prices, availability, taxes, and fees change constantly and without notice, and the figure you see on Rate Watch may not match the price you're offered at checkout on a provider's site. Always confirm the final price, availability, and terms directly with the provider before booking. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any price or history shown.

3. Affiliate relationships and sponsored links

Rate Watch participates in affiliate programs and other commercial partnerships with booking platforms and travel services, including but not limited to Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and Stay22. This means that if you click through to one of these providers from our Site and complete a booking, we may earn a commission or referral fee at no additional cost to you.

Links marked "Book now," the provider links in a hotel's "Prefer a specific site?" row, and any widget served through Stay22 are commercial in nature. These relationships do not influence the price history or data we display — commission arrangements have no bearing on which hotels appear, how they're sorted, or what prices are shown.

4. Third-party sites and content

The Site links to third-party websites (including booking providers and TripAdvisor) that we don't own or control. We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site, and linking to a site isn't an endorsement of it. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Site other than through normal browsing; interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Hotel names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only; their use doesn't imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners beyond the commercial relationships disclosed in Section 3.

7. Suggestions and submissions

If you submit a destination suggestion or other message through the Site, you agree we can use that information to decide what to track next and to reply to you if you've given us an email address. See our Privacy Policy for details on how that information is handled.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rate Watch and its operators won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any information it contains — including a booking made, or not made, based on prices shown here. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it can't be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
